Refund & Cancellation Policy
We want this to be simple and fair, especially at difficult times. Here is when you can cancel and get your money back.
Last updated 27 October 2026
In short
- Paid but not published yet? Cancel within 7 days for a full refund.
- Charged twice, or charged for something you didn't receive? Full refund.
- Once your page is published, the service has started, so the package isn't refundable — except where the law says otherwise.
1. Before your announcement is published
You may cancel your order within 7 days of paying, as long as the announcement hasn't been published, and we'll refund the full amount. This matches the cooling-off right in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
2. After your announcement is published
Publishing starts the service you paid for, so the cooling-off right no longer applies (ECTA section 42(2)). Package fees aren't refundable once the page is live, and unpublishing or deleting it early doesn't earn a partial refund. This doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act — for example, if the service isn't delivered as described.
3. Our mistakes
If you were charged more than once, charged the wrong amount, or couldn't publish because of a fault on our side that we can't fix promptly, we'll refund you in full.
4. Changing your package
Need more Event Items or photos? Contact us and we'll help you move to a bigger package, charging only the difference where possible.
5. How to ask for a refund
- Contact us or email hello@43xevents.com with the announcement's name and your order reference (shown on the Publish page, e.g. 43X-000123).
- We'll reply within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds go back to the payment method you used, through PayFast. Card refunds usually show within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Pages removed for breaking our terms
If we remove an announcement because it breaks our Terms & Conditions, the package fee isn't refunded.
